Its is clear that the Wheelchair hoist is the best choose to go with when it comes to transporting wheelchairs.... there are heavy electronic wheel chairs that have heavy motors and batteries. i know that it is fact that the worlds strongest person could not pick up a wheelchair and put it into a car like hercules. i work with patients and i get feed back from all the drivers and passengers and they say so far its really good to use especially if you have a bad back like me.... there are different types of wheelchair hoist out there in the market that you can choose from for any kind of vehicle.
There are rooftop hoist that allows you to put the wheelchair on the rooftop. i would reccommend this to you if you have a full house vehicle and there is no room in your trunk. it is safe and will not damage your wheelchair.
The boot hoist transfers the wheelchair into the trunk. this is a good idea if you have space in the trunk. from what i see, the door of the trunk opens by a remote control and the chair will be folded and put in place like so. this is also a good way to go if you need room.
If you have a mini van, you can use a rear seat hoist. it will load the chair through the slidding door. most of the drivers that i know have mini vans. you will need a remote control for this one.
wheelchair hoist can be worked by either the passenger or the driver. it is good way to use it if you have a family member that uses a wheel chair.
